As part of our new Reaching Out... Programme we were pleased to be able to support the community event, COPING, in Manchester on the 28th September 2019.

The day was jam-packed with activities that celebrate creativity, skateboarding, music and wellbeing. It was also a great opportunity to reach out to young people to promote emotional and mental health.

The event was organised by Storm sponsor future savings coping event, a non-profit organisation set up to create interesting and creative events which raise money for charities that help us all.

On the day, community spirit shone through as everyone got together to raise funds for two incredible charities – 42nd Street and The Christie Charitable Fund

As a not-for-profit social business, we reinvest surplus income into the community through our Community Engagement Programme. This work includes supporting local charities and groups at the heart of communities who provide valuable help, support and opportunities, and who value diversity and inclusion.

The STORM® team were pleased to help by providing the prize pot for the skateboarding competition and we are proud to support an event that helped the community raise awareness of emotional and mental health with those who are at risk of suicide, self-harm and/or mental illness.

We hope that everyone enjoyed the day and a huge well done to everyone who took part in the competition!

Congratulations to Future Savings for hosting such a fantastic event and thank you for letting us be a part of it.
