Self-harm myths and misconceptions

Brought to you by

We're pleased to be working once again with our colleagues from the Multicentre Study of Self-harm in England, continuing our series of webinars that translate insights from this extensive dataset, and the work of dedicated clinical and academic colleagues, into everyday practice.
We're pleased to share our new webinar, "Self-harm Myths and Misconceptions", delivered in partnership with the Derby site of the Multicentre Study. In this session we are joined by Jenny Ness and Keith Waters, who challenge common myths and misconceptions about self-harm. Drawing on research and practice, they share practical insights for anyone supporting people experiencing distress.
The webinar is available at no cost and takes around 1 hour to complete, including post-webinar self-reflection. Alongside the webinar, you'll have access to a companion resource and knowledge quiz designed to support your understanding and reflection. Participants who complete the quiz and provide their details will receive a certificate of completion*.
*We have applied for CPD accreditation for this webinar, and the application is currently under review. If successful, participants will receive a certificate from The CPD Certification Service (CPD UK) in due course. Regardless of the outcome, all participants will receive a completion certificate from Storm Skills Training.
