When you attend one of our courses, you’ll receive the training directly from one of our passionate and highly skilled consultants.
Your consultant will work with you to enhance your skills and confidence in self-harm and suicide prevention using a compassionate and collaborative approach.
Our consultants are all highly experienced in working on the frontline and facilitating training. They have all received extensive training, and have a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges of self-harm and suicide prevention.
We have a growing, varied group of people from different professions, backgrounds, experiences, and expertise.
They are skilled clinicians and facilitators that are very passionate about Storm Skills Training.

Creating a safe and supportive learning environment
It’s extremely important that your team feel safe and supported during your time training with us.
We understand self-harm and suicide prevention is a sensitive topic, and that some aspects of the training can be challenging. Our consultants will make sure that you feel comfortable, safe, and supported throughout the training.
Some people find the filmed skills practice challenging. Skills practice is an opportunity for the participants to have a go at having the conversation in a safe environment. We understand that the thought of participating in filmed skills practice may be daunting, but you’re not alone – your consultant and the Storm Skills Training team are here to support you throughout your time training with us. It’s reassuring to hear that the majority of people who start off a little wary during the filming feedback that they were glad they did it. They see the value it added to their experience and feel that they now know what to do in those situations. This is incredibly important to us.
